Weeds

These are uncharacteristic plants that grow in a place without dwarf. The presence of which causes more loss to the crops than profit. Weeds are called. Jethro Tull first used the word bead to weed.


(1) Annual Weed - Weeds that complete their life cycle in a year or less. One year is called weed.


They are divided into 2 parts-


(a) Kharif Weeds: 

Weeds of this class grow in the beginning of rains (June-July) and complete their life cycle till the rains end (September-October).


(b) Rabi Weeds: - 

Weeds of this class grow along with Rabi crops in September or October and complete their life cycle by March - April.


(1) Binneal weeds - 

Weeds of this class complete their life cycle in two years, grow vegetative in the first year and produce seeds in the second year. Such as wild carrots (Daucus species), wild cabbage (Launia asplenifolia) etc.


(3) Perinneal weeds - 

Weeds that complete their life cycle in more than two years. And which are broadcast by botanical parts. Such as root, stem, rhizobium, bulb, tuber etc.
